Registration takes less than a minute. All you need is an email address and a password. We do not ask for credit card details, company registration numbers or any information you do not already have on hand.
Once registered, you will land on a short onboarding step where you can set up your company profile. This is optional, but recommended — the more BidIQ knows about your business, the more accurately it can match you to relevant tenders.
Your company profile tells BidIQ who you are: your operating province and the industry categories your business works in. This takes about two minutes and can be updated at any time.
Once your profile is complete, BidIQ calculates a match score for every tender you view — giving you an immediate indication of how well a particular opportunity aligns with your business before you invest time reading the full specification.
The Browse Tenders page gives you a live, searchable list of every active South African government tender currently on the platform. Data is imported daily from official public procurement portals, starting with the National Treasury eTender Publication Portal.
You can search by keyword — department name, reference number, commodity — or use the filter panel to narrow by province, category, status and closing date. Results update instantly.
Once you have found a search configuration that surfaces the right tenders for your business — say, construction tenders in the Western Cape — you can save it with one click. Saved searches appear in your dashboard and can be re-run any time.
Enable email alerts on any saved search, and BidIQ will notify you by email each time a new tender matching your criteria is published. You choose the frequency. You can have as many saved searches and alerts as you need.
When you find a tender you intend to bid on, click Watch to add it to your dashboard tracker. Followed tenders appear in a dedicated list with their closing date, status and a countdown — so you always know which bids are due next and never miss a deadline.
Your dashboard also surfaces tenders closing within seven days at the top, making it easy to prioritise your week at a glance.
